Buggy Bites

Buggy Bites was created as a university project to create a logo and branding design based on an insect based food substance. Our goals was to create the logo, color options, packaging and brand merchandise for this fake brand.

Step 1:

To start out with, I created four different fake brands for this project. After discussing with my professor, I decided Buggy Bites had the strongest and most unique design.

Step 2:

From there, I cleaned up the design and created a micro design to go along side it. I wanted to keep as many insect shapes as possible while also keeping it very bubbly and happy.

Step 3:

After finalizing the design, I went on to create the packaging for this fake product. The product was supposed to be a pair of small puck shaped snacks that you could eat on the go. I inculded a cut out in the packagings face so customers could see the product inside.

Step 4:

I wanted to add a bit more interest into the design, so I created a bug filled repeating pattern that I could use to tile the various additional products.

Step 5:

After creating the logo, standards and background detailing, I started putting together options for what posters and billboards could look like for this product.

Results:

I compiled all the work that I accomplished over the course of this product into a set of brand guidelines and finished with creating business cards for this brand.
